- If you have the Jet Turbine on, hold R2 whilst pushing the King from behind, when you and the King get to the finish line, you'll both instantly stop at the same time. Interestingly, the game will always register you as coming first each time this method is used.
- "Girigiri" (ギリギリ) is Japanese onotempediaic slang term for "on the edge", fitting with the minigame's context of stopping at the right time.
