Real life info[]

The Lancia Delta Integrale Rally Car competed in the Group A class of the World Rally Championship (WRC) beginning in 1987, replacing the Group B Delta S4. It was powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 8 valve engine producing 240-260 hp and 253-287 lb/ft, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

In 1988, power was increased to 280-295 hp and torque increased to 280-297 lb/ft. A 6-speed manual transmission was used as well as the 5-speed.

In 1989, the 8 valve engine was replaced with a 16 valve unit; power increased to 300-330 hp and torque increased to 297-332 lb/ft.

In 1992, power increased to 330-365 hp and torque increased to 394 lb/ft. This version was referred to as the Evoluzione, which also had larger wheels, wider wheel arches, and a stiffer body.

The Delta Integrale competed in the WRC through 1993, winning 46 WRC rallies, six manufacturers' championships from 1987-1992, and drivers' championships with Juha Kankukkunen (1987 and 1991), Massimo Biasion (1988), and Miki Biasion (1989). Martini Racing competed until the end of 1992, with the Jolly Club team and Astra Racing fielding Delta Integrales in 1993.
